Code of Ethics


Altus Science aims to undertake its activities in an ethically and environmentally responsible manner. This is the Altus Science Code of Ethics.  This includes the ethical treatment of employees, customers, associates and suppliers. This Policy extends beyond the company’s direct business relationships and includes the environmental impact of its activities both at source and point of use.

These principles are binding on all Altus Science employees. The Altus Science Code of Ethics helps us conduct our business with integrity and professionalism in the following areas:

Quality

Throughout the manufacturing process, Altus Science undertakes to comply and if necessary to go beyond the requirements of it customers and regulations.

We work with our customers and suppliers to maintain our level of quality. Altus Science maintains a constant high level of quality, from selection of raw materials to the finished product and control throughout the manufacturing process. In this way they can be sure of obtaining a product fully conforming to their most stringent quality criteria.

Altus Science is accredited by UKAS to ISO17025:2017 as a Testing Laboratory and ISO 17034:2016 as a Certified Reference Materials (CRM’s) Producer.

Health, Environment and Safety

The Altus Science Code of Ethics dictates that our employees have the right to a healthy, safe and secure working environment. Altus Science implements a pro-active health and safety policy and trains its Employees in these procedures. We identify, understand and fully control hazards and potential dangers in order to protect our employees’ health and to keep the environmental impact of the facility to a minimum: these are the fundamental principles of Altus Science and to continually create improvements in this area.

Respect of Laws and Human Rights

Altus Science complies with all applicable state, local and environmental laws, rules and regulations governing all aspects of business, including development, production and sales of CRM’s. Altus Science believes in the fundamental dignity of every human being. We are committed to respect Human rights as recognised by principles of United Nations and do not condone the use of forced labour, we expect our suppliers to respect this principle as well.

Respect of Individuals

Each individual is treated fairly and works in a respectful and open manner. We encourage solidarity throughout our business and respect a culture of loyalty.

We always conduct our business honestly and honourably, taking into account ethical considerations, and we expect our clients and suppliers to do so too.

Confidentiality

At Altus Science, confidentiality is taken extremely seriously. We understand our customers may, on occasions, entrust us with their procedures, processes and sensitive documentation.

Altus Science employees will often come into contact with, or have possession of, proprietary, confidential or business-sensitive information and Altus Sciences takes all appropriate steps to assure that such information is strictly safeguarded. This information, whether it is on behalf of our company or any of our customers or affiliates are treated with sensitivity and discretion and will only be disseminated on a need-to-know basis.

Conflict of Interest

Altus Science employees must never permit their personal interests to conflict, or appear to conflict, with the interests of the company, its clients or affiliates. Altus Science employees shall avoid the use of Altus Science contacts to advance their private business or personal interests at the expense of the company, its customers or affiliates.

Gifts

We believe in the quality of the products and services we propose and we do not need to use gifts to build good relationships with customers that could lead to a misunderstanding. Exchanging of gifts shall be moderate and only with a symbolic value.

Bribery

Altus Science believes in honesty, integrity and professionalism in all aspects of its business. Bribery and corruption are unacceptable practices. Altus Science will reject any forms or other similar compensation that shall be given to a person, in order to attract or influence business activity.

Suppliers

Altus Science treats its suppliers with fairness and integrity, and develops strong and long-term partnerships.

To contribute to the sustainable well-being of Altus Science and to the high quality of its products, Altus Science selects its suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, reputation, environmental, business and ethical practices.
